Amy Couper, BSc (Hons)

Amy graduated from the University of Manchester with a First-Class BSc (Hons) Degree in
Biochemistry, where she accumulated experience in macromolecular recognition, genome
regulation and protein dynamics. Whilst there, she also actively represented her field as a
key committee member of the University’s Women in Science and Engineering Society.
Amy joined the Observational and Pragmatic Research Institute (OPRI) in 2019 to apply her
knowledge to public health, with an interest in real-life research and chronic disease
management. Since then, Amy has secured an academic advisory role with the company
and been involved in the publication of Optimum Patient Care Quality Improvement
processes and establishing global Quality Standards for patients with higher but modifiable
risk of COPD.
Based in Singapore, Amy is now involved in both the research and operational
implementation of projects across OPRI and its network of affiliates, facilitating the delivery
of international respiratory initiatives, with a particular focus on the CONQUEST Programme
and COPD management
