Andy Dickens

Andy joined OPRI in 2021 as Senior Epidemiologist, having previously been at the University of Birmingham since 2011 and the University of Exeter prior to that. He has over 20 years’ experience of academic research within public health and health service research, developing research interests in respiratory disease, global health, health outcomes for older people and complex interventions. Andy is skilled in epidemiology, research design and data analysis, and obtained his PhD in Medical Studies from University of Exeter in 2010.

Since 2011, Andy has mainly worked on UK-based and global COPD studies, and is currently working on COPD-related cluster randomised trials within OPRI.
